Continuing our series of blog posts covering the classic Five W’s of journalism for KCWC (Who, What, When, Where, Why), we’ll answer some of your “when” questions today.
When is this year’s conference? It’s a two-day event, Friday and Saturday, June 19-20, 2009. Traditionally, the conference is held on the third weekend in June. If you can’t be with us this year, mark your calendar for the third weekend of June, 2010, and check back with us next spring.
When will this year’s schedule and registration information be available? SOON. We are currently polishing up the schedule now, and we expect to have faculty bios and possibly the schedule itself on the website within the next week. In previous posts, we have mentioned some faculty names, but, since then we’ve added others. Now is a good time to subscribe to this blog because we’ll post a special announcement when the schedule goes up on the website. Please pray for the areas in KY still dealing with the aftermath of last week’s ice storm. Many are still without power.
When will you be ready to attend a Christian writers conference? I’ll answer this question with other questions. Is writing part of your regular job, your church activities, or your devotional discipline? Have you felt a call from God to use your writing for his glory? Do you think you might want to publish your writing? If you can answer “yes” to these questions, perhaps this year is the time for you to consider coming to KCWC. Pray for God’s guidance as you make your decision. Our committee prays regularly for our message to reach those needing to hear it.
