You Are a Giant Killer

"Communicate to change lives."

For me, that was the take-away message of KCWC 2007 conference featured speaker Jim Watkins, seen here convincing us all that we are indeed Giant Killers.

Equipped with our own smooth stones (I accidentally laundered mine), we can go forth to conquer the Giant Publishers with our new-found knowledge of writing and marketing.

I don't know who said this, but I've heard that David saw his confrontation with Goliath differently than most of us. Instead of viewing Goliath as an enemy who was too powerful to beat, he saw him as a target that was too big to miss!

Attitude is everything. Keep trying. You are a Giant Killer!

Do you know why David took 5 stones when he met Goliath? It's because there were 4 other giants. You can read about them in I Chronicles 20:4-7. David had so much faith in God that he realized God was able to handle 5 giants just as easily as He could handle one. And David wanted to be ready to do whatever God called him to do.

Preparation is a sign of faith!

As writers, we need to be prepared too. Thank you to everyone who helped make KCWC possible for your part in helping us become more prepared to do what God calls us to do.
